Have power board, will travel
After a successful trip to see the Tour de France, our next adventure was a whirlwind whistle stop tour of Bern and Basel.
The train wound its way around the edge of the lake leaving Lausanne, before heading north. The cliffs were full of perfectly manicured vineyards and farms.
On our first full day in Barcelona we set off fairly early for the local subway station, before it got too hot.
When traveling I have a bad habit of arriving in, or leaving from, a country within days of a major sporting event. One year I think I missed two Grand Prix races in a month. When we were in Singapore last the grandstands for the Grand Prix were still up, and dad managed to stand in some wet concrete where they were repairing the road.
